In this essay, I evaluated both Sherry Turkle and Sam Anderson’s perspectives on the pervasive influence of technology in our lives and its benefits and negatives. Turkle focuses more on the negative impacts of technology and how it impacts our empathy and critical thinking. Meanwhile, Sam Anderson sheds light on how technology can be a good thing and enhance our lives. This essay focuses on the need for a balanced approach to our relationship with technology to, ultimately, enhance our lives.
